Hey… some more cool press.  We were mentioned in the campus paper for the U of Utah The Daily Utah Chronicle. This is another great opportunity for us to get word about our company, and really for the people who have put time into getting Akadi up and off the ground!

Hey!  I wanted to share this link with you.  We’re in today’s (Sunday the 27th) Salt Lake Tribune.  Page E2 (I think) in the real edition, and the online version here.

We’re one of 24 companies spun off by the U and one of two featured in today’s paper.

Pretty neat, eh?  We’re excited to be part of the University and we’re thrilled to be involved with everything they offer.

If you have any questions about how the U works, or about our technology, please let us know!

First off, Happy Pioneer Day… a day that celebrates the pioneers that made the long trek to settle in Utah.

Now to the stuff.  We’re looking for content partners.  What can you provide, do you ask?  Well.. anything, really.  We’re looking for companies, organizations, media groups, schools, businesses, etc. who may have information they would like to make available on Akadi’s DAN system.

The University of Utah issued a press release today that featured Akadi Technologies.  The University of Utah spun off 24 companies last year, Akadi was among them.

UPDATE: I also hear we’re going to be in the SL Trib in the coming days… complete with a photo.  Also, the Daily Chronicle (The U’s newspaper)  I’ll post links when I get them, but … keep your eyes peeled!

Just caught wind that we were mentioned on NPR Thursday, Jul 18th.  I didn’t hear it, but apparently we were mentioned in a little bit about startups out of the U of Utah.

I’m looking for a link to the radio bit… I will share when I find it!

One more bit of news today.  We were up at the Ray Olpin Student Union on the U of Utah campus.  They’ve recently installed 13 displays running DAN throughout the Union.  Their plan is to mix Student Information on events and deadlines, resources such as prices for ski tickets and movies, and also some advertising that the students will have an interest in.

I just wanted to take a second to thnk Florida Coastal School of Law for joining the Akadi family.  We ran into them at the CALI conference in Baltimore, MD.  We’ve been working with them for a few weeks now and they’ve signed on to be an Akadi customer!

Just dropping a note to say a big “Thank You” to everyone who attended our presentations at CALI this year.  We presented:

• The Proactive Helpdesk
• Fun with Digital Signage (DAN)
• Managing Website and Application Infrastructure

I thought the presentations went well and we’ve had some awesome feedback from those who attended.  We tried to make them as engaging as possible and share some ideas that might help you further the progress of technology in your law school.

Hey, we’re out in Baltimore, MD at the Computer Aided Legal Instruction conference, or CALI, for short.

Being that we’re out of the S.J. Quinney College of Law we were given permission to present DAN there.

I’ll be presenting at 4:00 EDT in room 460 of the Thurgood Marshall Law School.

It’ll be a great opportunity for us to share DAN with other colleges and let them know how cool it is!

BTW, if you’re at CALI and see me… let me know or stop me and say, “Hi”.

Well, we have recently found out that the University of Utah’s Marketing and Communications group is going to install screens throughout the University of Utah campus.  Currently, they’re running a demo version to learn how to use the software and should be rolling these out live in the coming weeks.

This is great as it truly shows how versatile DAN can be for your college or business.

We’ll keep you posted with more details when we officially get things rolling here, but I just wanted to share this exciting news with you.
