720p? Huh? »
June 2nd, 2008 by wes.christiansen
If you were to go to an electronics store right now, well its kinda late, but if a store was open and you went, and you said “Hey, I’d like to buy a high definition TV with 720p resolution”, there is a chance that you could get 1 of about 10 different possible resolutions claiming to be 720p. It is ridiculous.
I have personally seen the following resolutions masquerading as 720p:
1366×720
1366×768
1360×720
1360×768
1280×768
1024×768
Now according to wikipedia which we can all agree *wink* is the the definitive source of truth in the universe, 720p is actually 1280×720.
So, if you are purchasing a display to use with DAN, please, find out the resolution before you buy the display. We will do our best to create templates for whatever resolution you get but, if you are going to have more than one display, do your best to get displays that truly have the same resolution. It will save you some headaches.
Also, generally speaking, don’t get a plasma. Besides the fact that a lot of the time their resolutions are kind of wacky, they tend to get burn-in. If you have never heard of burn-in check out the section on burn-in in the wikipedia article on plasma TV’s.
Thanks Lassonde, New Ventures Clinic! »

I wanted to take some time to thank the Lassonde New Venture Center for helping us out. They’ve been a HUGE asset to our business… from business plans, to collaboration, and more… I would like to express my gratitude.
I’d also like to thank the New Ventures Clinic at the S.J. Quinney College of Law. The whole class has been amazing from start to finish. We’ve also learned a lot from participation.
So, I’d like to thank everyone once again for their tremendous help! You guys and girls pretty much rock.
